Dating back to 1892, this location no longer operates as the Jameson Saloon and Inn but is believed to be one of Idaho's haunted destinations. Reports here include a spirit named Maggie that is known to give hugs, touch people on the shoulder and pat them on the back. Full-body apparitions of Maggie have also been spotted, and those of two male figures as well. One is called Ollie, who is said to be quite the prankster. Reports of silverware being moved several times a day is believed to be Ollie playing pranks. Other occurrences here include lights that go on and off by themselves, shadows, objects being moved, smells of perfume, and the sounds of a party happening in the saloon late at night.

  • Bartender at the Jameson

I would open up the Jameson on Friday nights for my boss Rick Schafer at the Wallace inn. They decided they just wanted to keep the bar going on just Friday nights. The place has a very spooky feel. I hated using the bathrooms. One rainy day I was just sitting at the bar working on some of my photography because we had no customers. The lights in the bar started to flicker then the bar stool next to me slid out like someone just sat down next to me. This freaked me out to the max and then the lights kept flickering so I went to turn them off and I couldn’t. I said screw it and started packing up all my stuff because I didn’t want to be there alone all night. lol. I was finally able to turn the lights off but I did leave. Other things would happen but that was the most frightening experience and it just didn’t feel friendly.

  • I worked here for 4 months

As well as the sweets bar and lounge that is conncted to it. I was instantly drawn go the beauty of these buildings like you can feel the time stuck like still make men's to the past. Almost all of this is originally the furniture even trap doors to the basement. Passage ways sealed off with wallpaper from the 1900's even a tunnel system that ran through the town for prohibition. Gambling. Prostitution. Even housINg to the terbiculosis scare. Many iced in the tub to cool the fever meeting their death I've turned the lights on opened all the doors and went to smoke outside came back with the bathroom doors locked. Lights off and water overflowing in the sinks being locked in the bathrooms. The two buildings have s glass door between them I would be bartender at nights can know it's only me with no motion sensor lights and see them change back and fourth frequently. The ball that the little boy plays with I doubted so I jokingly said this better have moved when I cOme back. Again just me workin... I came back to be started the basket ball was in the second step down from the top. It would have rolled down the stairs.... I have so many stories about this place. There is a very evil pretense in the basement and he DOES NOT like you doing coke in the basement with your friends.. Or medium confirmed he was killed in a gambling brawl and carried down the tunnels

  • Jameson Saloon

The Jameson has been open for over a year. Would be nice if you could update or just omit the no longer operates part.
