2025 Question and Answer With SRD's Haunt

Home » Blog » Idaho Haunts: An In Depth Look

IdahoHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Nikki And Frank Jorgenson of SRD's Haunt, to discuss what's new at SRD's Haunt for the 2025 Halloween Season!

What's new at SRD's Haunt for 2025? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are bringing our haunt back outdoors this year. Back to Dirt, Trees, Animals, Machinery, and more!

What are you most excited about for the 2025 Halloween Season?

Ten years this year! Taking it back to the backyard farm and all for the fun in the fear.

What differentiates SRD's Haunt from other local haunts in Idaho?

We completely change our layout, sometimes our location, and features each year while keeping some of our OG characters to keep the fun and fear alive each year.

How long has SRD's Haunt been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about SRD's Haunt's history?

We started our haunt in 2015 as a backyard/farm haunt to spook trick-or-treaters. Our love comes from our owners [Frank and Nikki] coming from generations of haunters. We have worked in our own and other haunts for decades. In 2021 we took the fun and fear to our Party Barn in the Westwood Mall. Bannock County asked us to come haunt the D barn at the Bannock County Event Center 2022-2024. While that was fun to be indoors and at different locations... our hearts are wanting to haunt the farm again and we are sooooooo excited to bring it home. In July of 2025... Our farm actually burned due to an electrical fire. We have relocated and are ready to bring the fear to our new location on South 2nd!

What's your favorite experience since opening SRD's Haunt?

My favorite experience are seeing the littlest of kiddos that come with NO FEAR. Check my zombie's eyes and want to go in and out every creepy prop and corner.

How long is a typical haunt experience at SRD's Haunt from start to finish?

10-20 minutes once you get to the actual haunt walk through.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say SRD's Haunt is? Why?

We have 3 levels of fear.
You can choose a Spook Alley level and that would be a 1.
You can choose a Level 2 and that would be more of a 5-7 fear level.
The final option is a Level 3. This level we don't hold back. It is a 8 or 9 for fear. [No touching or it would be a 10]

Does SRD's Haunt's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

We are currently researching all of our spooks and tales. The basement and back fence have lots of activity. The farm is also located between the Mountain View Cemetery and the Train Tracks in Pocatello... giving it some extra haunted history.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Inspiration was doing something really fun with our family and close friends. The favorite part of the business for us is to watch our spooks work hard and make bonds to last a lifetime. They truly want to entertain and bring joy through the fear.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance SRD's Haunt?

We are taking it back to the real props and people. Only a few OG animatronics will be included this year.

Can SRD's Haunt accommodate large groups? How many people can experience SRD's Haunt together as a group?

While we can accommodate large groups... we recommend 10 or fewer in a group to get the most from the experience.

Does SRD's Haunt offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

This year we are only asking for a $5 donation per person to enter each night.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about SRD's Haunt?

On November 1st it will be a "Blackout Night with Krampus" This experience will have no lights... just the black light we give you. And you will find Krampus either inside or in front for photos.
